Screen Saver Randomizer

To add a ScreenSaver to the list:

1) Select the ScreenSaver in the preferences app.

2) Make any adjustments you desire for this ScreenSaver.

3) Type a name for the setting in the ScreenSaver Randomizer Window, or press the INSERT button to use the name shown in the ScreenSaver preferences app.

4) Press "Save" in the Screensaver Randomizer Window.

This adds a copy of the /boot/home/config/settings/ScreenSaver_settings file of the specified name to:
~/config/settings/ss_settings

Any screensaver that has a corresponding file in this folder is "randomly" selected as the active screensaver.

To remove a screensaver from the list:

Delete the file corresponding to the unwanted ScreenSaver from:

~/config/settings/ss_settings

About this "randomness":

This file: ss.sh does the work. This is located in your user bin directory, either ~config/bin or ~/config/non-packaged/bin depending on your Haiku version.

Note: There is actually nothing random about this, the active screensaver is changed every 3 minutes to the next file in the directory list. However it does appear to be random for the user.

ss.sh is launched every time ss-rand is quit. One may also place a link to this file in your launch folder, either ~config/boot/launch or ~config/settings/boot/launch depending on your haiku versiion, to activate the "randomness" on every boot.
